Hands Rochester Volunteer Centre

The Hands Rochester Volunteer Centre is a voluntary organisation and registered charity, based in Chatham and acts as a recruiting agency for all voluntary, charitable, statutory and other non profit making organisations requiring voluntary assistance in the Chatham, Rochester, Strood and outlying areas such as Isle of Grain.

Hands also run direct services which include a Transport Scheme where volunteer drivers take elderly and less able clients to hospital appointments, GP surgeries and other clinics, Lunch Club for elderly residents of Lordswood & Walderslade, and a Befriending/Visiting Scheme for lonely and housebound elderly and less able people. We are particularly interested in recruiting volunteer drivers and Volunteer Befrienders for the Befriending/Visiting Scheme. We would also like to let people know about our services.

So, HANDS are always recruiting volunteers either for our direct services or for other charitable organisations. Often the demand for volunteers is much greater than the number of available volunteers and we would like to ask you to consider helping us. Please contact us soon. Our address is 5A New Road Avenue, Chatham, Kent ME4 6BB telephone 01634 830371, e-mail: rochestervb@pcihosting.co.uk. Web site, click here.
